Privacy Policy
Effective date: 07/01/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jonathan Quintos ("RosterVue," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use RosterVue, our fantasy football auction draft application available at rostervue.com and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Note on our current stage: RosterVue is currently in a free beta. Our data practices may evolve as the Service develops; we will update this policy and its effective date when they do.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide to us
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, your name (if provided), and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored in hashed form; we do not have access to your plaintext password.
- League and draft content. Information you enter to run drafts — league names, team names, draft settings, budgets, nominations, bids, and draft results.
- Feedback. If you submit feedback through the in-app feedback tool or a post-draft prompt, we collect the content of that feedback, an optional rating, and the associated account and draft context.
- Communications. If you contact us (for example, by email or during beta onboarding), we keep a record of that correspondence.
Information from Yahoo (via optional integration)
If you choose to import player data using the Yahoo Fantasy Sports integration, you authorize the connection through Yahoo's OAuth flow, and we retrieve fantasy football player data (such as player names, positions, teams, and related attributes) to populate your draft board. Your Yahoo access tokens are passed through your browser to complete each import and are not stored on our servers between sessions. RosterVue is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Yahoo. Your use of the Yahoo integration is also subject to Yahoo's own terms and privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and analytics data. We use analytics to understand how the Service is used — for example, which features are used, how drafts progress, and where users encounter problems. This includes event data (such as account creation, league creation, and draft milestones), device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, and error/diagnostic data.
- Session recording. We use session replay technology to record interactions with the Service (such as page navigation, clicks, and screen content) to help us diagnose issues and improve usability. Text you type into input fields is masked and not captured in these recordings. We do not use session recordings to identify you beyond your existing account.
- Cookies and local storage. We and our providers use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, preserve in-progress drafts, and support analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you disable them.
We do not collect payment information, because the Service is currently free.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including running live auction drafts;
- Authenticate you and secure your account;
- Import and display fantasy player data you request;
- Understand usage, diagnose problems, fix bugs, and improve features and reliability;
- Respond to your feedback, questions, and support requests;
- Communicate with you about the Service, including onboarding, updates, and important notices;
- Protect the Service and our users against fraud, abuse, and security risks; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:
-
Service providers. We share information with third-party companies that help us operate the Service. These currently include:
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- PostHog — product analytics, session replay, surveys, and error tracking (hosted in the United States).
- Cloudflare — domain and network services.
- Yahoo — fantasy sports data, only when you use the Yahoo integration.
These providers process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it consistent with this policy.
-
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of RosterVue, our users, or the public.
-
Business transfers. If RosterVue is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.
-
With your direction. When you invite others to a league or display a draft on a shared screen, the league and draft content you create is shared with those participants and viewers.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain feedback, analytics, and session recordings for a limited period sufficient to improve the Service (session recordings are typically retained for approximately one month by our analytics provider). We may retain certain information longer where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information as described below.
5. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections, database access controls, and row-level security — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction. You can view and update your account information within the Service, or contact us for help.
- Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us at support@rostervue.com. Some information may be retained as described in Section 4.
- Analytics and recording opt-out. You can limit analytics and session recording through your browser's cookie and Do-Not-Track settings. Contact us if you would like us to exclude your account from session recording.
If you are in California: You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@rostervue.com.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom: You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and to data portability. Our legal bases for processing include your consent, the performance of our agreement with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@rostervue.com.
7. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You must meet the age requirement in our Terms of Service to use the Service. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (such as Yahoo). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services, and we encourage you to review their policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
